SPECIALS
The November discount will be announced soon.
The REINS Tack Shack half-yearly, 50% off sales take place in February and August each year. At other times of the year, we feature sales on special items (between 25% and 40% off). Occasionally, sales include all items in the store.
To get notified of these sales, follow our Tack Shack Facebook page. Or, join our Tack Shack Email list. Check back every month to see what sales we are running and the items we are featuring.
donate your tack
REINS and the Tack Shack accept donations of new and gently used riding apparel, horse tack and supplies. Anything that cannot be used in the program for our students is put up for sale in the Tack Shack.
Your donation may be 100% tax deductible and will help support the program. Donations can be dropped off at the Tack Shack or the REINS Office anytime. Please stop by to do some shopping and check out the deals! Whether you’re looking to free up some space by donating items, or to save money by purchasing used, we hope that you’ll come visit us soon.
You can drop off your donation any time during REINS operating hours (M-F 9-5 and Sat 9-4).
Store Hours for shopping are Monday-Saturday 11:00am-4:00pm.

History
In 1999 we found ourselves brimming with tack donations for our therapeutic riding lessons. We had so many donations that we could not use them all. We decided to open up a used tack store. In a little 10 x 10 Storage shed (that was really more of a shack) we opened up one day a week to resell all the generous donations we could not use.
In 2002 we built a new building for our store. Because of its humble beginning we named it the Tack Shack. Today the Tack Shack is open five days a week and is run with the help of volunteers. Barbara Larsen is the Manager, taking care of the planning and inventory of the Tack Shack. We have customers from all over Southern California and donations from as far as Minnesota. All proceeds from the Tack Shack go directly to REINS and our students.
